Homeland – Amaryllis

Sunday, February 18th, 2018

That day the weather was cold but sunny – at least  in the morning. Sun was coming in through the large windows and gave some beautiful lighting.
This Amaryllis is going on now since Christmas and it’s still not at it’s end.

As I’m currently experimenting with a Sony A7R2 and old glass, I had mounted a Contax Carl Zeiss Planar 1.4/50mm.
This lens gives some very very beautiful results. As often, I have tried a black&white version too.

I applied some presets in Nik’s Color Efex and Silver Efex applications and I’m getting more and more pleased with the results.

Enjoy 😉

Australian Adventure – Melbourne Skyline

Saturday, February 17th, 2018

Our trip to the world’s end is nearing it’s finishing line.
This time I have a couple of long time exposure night shots from Melbourne’s southbank over the Yarra River which show the full beauty of this fantastic skyline. As you know my dilemma, boths worlds look stunning – black&white and coloured.

Homeland Daybreak

Friday, February 16th, 2018

A true homeland daybreak. Yesterday morning around 8 am, when sitting down for breakfast and looking out of the window, the eastern sky had turned orange and red in an impressive way. The only cam I could get hands on was my iPhone. Picking it up and getting ready to shoot gave me a beautiful image.

Short after 8 pm was near the end of the golden hour and true … 5 minutes later the sky had turned normal again.

Enjoy 😉
